Retro Voltage
Photomicrograph of neurons stained with SYSY Antibodies: Elfn1 (448 011) and MAP2 (188 003). Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI.
When creating the picture, I imagined a record sleeve for an 80s synth-pop band:
a moody vinyl album cover with dramatic lighting, vibrant neon cyan and electric pink and
a minimalist graphic design featuring retro-futuristic geometric shapes.
This artwork is derived from an immunocytochemistry image showing two neuronal components: the cytoskeleton and the synaptic regions. The former is stained magenta with an MAP2 antibody, while the latter is stained orange with an Elfn1 antibody. The cell nuclei are stained light blue with DAPI.
